*formally, and sometimes still known as, Dandelions Never Stay Lonely Very Long

dandelions stand
over on a hill
they never stay lonely for very long
they find a place to belong
then far too soon gone

if I call out your name
would you come back to me
like an echo in a canyon
like and old crow to a tree
like the wind thru the leaves
like sunshine and dreams

the old barn`s still there
though a little worse for wear
the initials that we carved
still ring loud and true
saying i love you
saying i love you

a flower pot in a window sill
on a sunday afternoon
brings a reason to believe
that today is all we need
I`ll remember you and me
like sunshine and dreams

dandelions stand
over on a hill
they never stay lonely for very long
they find a place to belong
like harmony in song
then far too soon gone

if I call out your name
would you come back to me
like an echo in a canyon
like and old crow to a tree
like the wind thru the leaves
like the flower and the bumble bee
like sunshine and dreams
