Cosmic Fantasy: Bouken Shounen Yuu (PCECD - 1990) playthrough 9/18 Nimrud and Baron's Lighthouse

One of the first 3 RPGs ever released on the CD format, this is a very generic JRPG of the time.
We return Princess Lina to Nimrud where we learn the king is trying to arrange a marriage between her and Duke Doran. With Tikal no longer reachable by riding Monmo, Nyan has conveniently relocated to Nimrud. Lina's heart belongs to Baron, and she gives us a letter to take to him in his lighthouse so he can come save her from the arranged marriage. The lighthouse can be difficult to survive, as Medusas can petrify. If Yuu gets petrified, it's an immediate game over. The Fire Staff is pretty much a must have in here, as a single Medusa can be defeated in one round with it. If you get really unlucky and face off against 3 Medusas, you pretty much have to hope they don't use their special attack. Thankfully, Ushuto (spell to warp out of dungeons) actually works in the lighthouse, allowing you to avoid needing to survive a trip back down.
