Wild Kitten

Stocking, our lovely black and white outdoor cat had two kittens about a month ago. She didn't hide them and we kept a close eye on them until she moved them a few days later after a rainstorm. Sadly, she moved them under trailer to stay dry.

We should have immediately moved them and their mother indoors but didn't. A month later, only one of the kittens could be seen walking around but always ran off before we could get our hands on it. And I have no been able to locate it's sibling at all.

Today, Stocking was nursing this one on the ramp and I was able to corner it for a pick up. My finger took a bad beating but I manged to get hold of the scruff on it's neck for a secured hold. I grabbed a delivery bag out of the truck for temporary holding. Bugs and all.

I've since transfered the little beast to a clean box until I can repair my sister's old hamster cage. It will take time, and visits from Stockings, to get the beast familiar with us, but it will happen.
