J Edgar Hoover on the War Against Communism- HUAC Hearings & Later Years

A mystery if Hoover believed this on some level. I'm of the mind that he did at some point in his life, but it wouldn't surprise either way. Was he really feeding McCarthy the names, or someone else was?
