Why AAA Games Should Be More Like NYC Pizza

New Yorkers are famous for boasting about the quality of New York City Pizza and with good reason. It's something us gamers cannot say about the state of AAA games in 2025, but AAA used to have a lot in common with the NYC pizza market back in the late 90's and early 2000's and I think it's something that desparately needs to come back.

I'll get into one explanation as to why NYC pizza is the best in the world, and what the AAA gaming industry needs to do to get back there. The good news is that I think it'll eventually happen on it's own, and gamers are the ones in the drivers seat on how quickly we see a resurgence in games.
