Bryan Logan, SD8's newest Senator was sworn in May 21st, to replace former Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Roger Thompson, who resigned effective November 1st, 2024, after being removed as Committee Chair by Senator Lonnie Paxton.

Though Governor Stitt was well aware of Thompson's resignation, he chose March 4th as the SD8 primary date with a general election May 13th.

Bryan, a pastor who also raises cows and operates a residential construction and carpentry business, worked hard to campaign throughout his district and won the primary, but was forced into a run-off April 1st which he also won.

May 21st, Bryan was sworn into the Oklahoma State Senate to fill the remainder of Thompson's term which ends November 18, 2026 - just a bit over a year from the time he began to campaign.

Needless to say, Bryan has been working hard from the moment he decided to run. Election, election, swearing in, voting as a Senator for a full 7 days.

How hard has it been to have to work that hard on a late election and then come into a senate seat just as the senate was about to leave for the session? We'll talk with Bryan about exactly that. Tune in!
