The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Part Thirty-Five | "Wine flows where the blade clears the way."

In Toussaint, nothing stirs hearts or blood like wine. When two rival vintners Matilda Vermentino and Liam de Coronata began feuding over Belgaard, one of the duchy’s oldest vineyards, I found myself dragged into a vintage war.

I sided with Matilda, helping her cleanse her own land of monsters and madness. When that was done, the ducal clerk asked for help restoring Belgaard its fields poisoned, its workers terrified, and its legacy hanging by a vine.

Once again, my silver sword did the talking. I made Belgaard safe, its barrels brimming again. The clerk saw sense awarding Matilda full control, and rewarding me handsomely for playing exterminator, negotiator, and peacekeeper.

No beasts, no curses, no haunting specters just bitter pride and tangled roots. And yet, nothing ever comes easy in Toussaint. Still, it’s good to know that, sometimes, a sharp blade can help good wine find its way to the table.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the groundbreaking installment in CD PROJEKT RED’s acclaimed series following the legendary witcher, Geralt of Rivia. After multiple delays, the game was officially released on May 19, 2015, and made an immediate impact. Selling over 4 million copies in just two weeks, more than doubling the total sales of its predecessor, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.

Unlike the previous entries, The Witcher 3 takes place in a sprawling multi-region open world, offering over 100 hours of content across dynamic landscapes. Inspired by the scale of games like Skyrim but over 20% larger the developers aimed to refine the open-world experience by learning from industry benchmarks while addressing their shortcomings.

Powered by the cutting-edge REDengine 3, the game was built with extensive fan feedback in mind. As always, player choices carry weight, shaping the narrative in significant and sometimes unexpected ways. This is not just a sequel. It’s a full evolution of the Witcher saga.
