Today's Throwback Thursday Daily Tune is Jay Kelly and I playing at the El Bar (Philadelphia) in 2011. A friend of ours was doing a Breast Cancer Benefit Show and asked if we would perform. We both knew this song and added it into our set.
Thanks for watching !

"Science Fiction Double Feature," written by Richard O'Brien, is the iconic opening number from The Rocky Horror Picture Show, first performed in 1973 as part of the original London stage production, The Rocky Horror Show. The song pays homage to classic sci-fi and B-movies, name-dropping films like Forbidden Planet and King Kong, capturing the campy, nostalgic vibe that made the musical a cult classic. Sung by the character of the Usherette (and later Trixie in some productions), it sets the stage for the show’s blend of horror, humor, and rock 'n' roll. The 1975 film adaptation, featuring O'Brien’s own voice alongside Patricia Quinn’s lip-sync, cemented its status as a fan favorite.
