Does Devin Haney See Weakness in Brian Norman Jr?

After yesterday's back-and-forth between Bill Haney and Brian Norman Sr, a lot has been revealed. At this point, we know that Turki Alalshikh is making this fight happen.

There's no contract as of yet. But there is a term sheet, and both sides have agreed to the terms set forth by Turki Alashikh. Bill revealed that Turki is looking to make the fight for Riyadh season in November.

Many fans doubt this fight will happen, and understandably so. From a stylistic standpoint, I don't see what Devin sees in Norman Jr from a stylistic standpoint that he can exploit.

Does Haney have better footwork than Norman? Does Haney have a better Jab than Norman? What about defense, punching power, ring IQ, and Stamina?

Brian Norman is young, strong, and can fight on the back foot and the front. He's hungry as well. Although Devin Haney has more experience than Norman. That doesn't always translate to a guaranteed victory.

We'll see how these negotiations play out.

In other news, Deontay Wilder has fired Malik Scott as his lead trainer. Some fans say this is far too late. Wilder has gone to war with Malik Scott in some of his biggest defeats against Tyson Fury, Joseph Parker, and Zheli Zhang.

Since 2020, Wilder has lost four of his last five fights, three of which were by knockout. Many fans believe Malik snaked his way into the lead trainer position by convincing Wilder to fire Mark Breland.

Many fans believe Scott was nothing more than a glorified yes-man. Whatever you think, it's painfully apparent that Deontay Wilder is at the tail end of his career.

His next fight is on the Chitlin circuit against Tyrrell Herndon. It will take place on BLK Prime at Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas. It's hard to believe that Wilder and Anthony Joshua were once the darlings of the Heavyweight division.

The year was 2018, and Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder were undefeated and ruled the heavyweight division by owning all of the titles and were en route to face off for an undisputed championship fight.

After Wilder fought Tyson Fury to a draw in December 2018, he planned to move on to face Joshua. In March 2019, DAZN offered Wilder $100 million for a three-fight package, including two against Joshua, but he declined the deal, citing dishonesty.

Joshua moved on to fight Andy Ruiz Jr. and suffered a shocking stoppage loss. He hasn't been able to properly find his footing since going 6-4 in the last six years. Wilder moved on to face Fury two more times and lost both by knockout, going 1-4 in the previous six years.

Fast-forward to 2025, and both Wilder and Joshua are washed up. Then, it's back to Devin Haney and Brian Norman Jr.

What weaknesses do you think Devin Haney sees in Brian Norman Jr that he can exploit? Do you believe the Haney's are making a big mistake pushing for the Norman Jr fight?

Or do you believe Devin's experience inside the ring will be too much for Brian Norman Jr to overcome?
