Lama Dawa Zangpo’s Commentary:
Here Pema is telling us that to fully embrace our life, our humanity, our situation is to continually live on the razor's edge. It means we are always willing to embrace uncertainty and that every moment is actually an opportunity to be fresh. She's saying thrown out of the nest. It means to not be in a cocoon of comfort and sort of hiding or insulated from the difficulties of this world, but to embrace the challenge of living fully and present with uncertainty. This is a great opportunity and Pema Chodron here is challenging us to, be fully awake, fully present, and fully engaged in our life.
