Nicknames vs Trans names

The Michigan Department of Education LGBTQ Student Project provided training for teachers and school administrators on how to handle LGBTQ issues. This clip came from their training videos which have since removed from the internet.

In this video the facilitator tries to imply that using a nickname is the same as using a trans name.
