Thousands of Kenyans have taken to the streets of Nairobi to mark a year since protesters stormed parliament to challenge a controversial finance bill. When the bill was passed, police opened fire on protesters. Police have already deployed tear gas and water cannon against protesters. Parliament and the president's office in the capital were barricaded ahead of the demonstrations, while roads leading to the parliament building were sealed off with razor wire. The government has ordered TV and radio stations to halt live coverage. Follow DW for the latest.
