Santa Rosa County, Florida - On 5/21/2023 police responded to a local Wamart in reference to a verbal disturbance between a customer and an employee. While en route, a bomb threat was called in by an unknown subject, stating his location was the same Walmart. The subject was located at the gas station behind the Walmart parking lot, urinating behind a tree. He was detained by police officers and found to be highly intoxicated with multiple Four Lokos drinks beside him. While being escorted to a police vehicle, he frantically began making statements that he was going to hurt himself and others. While speaking with him next to the police car, he began slamming his head into the side of the patrol vehicle, causing a laceration on his forehead. He then tried to hurt himself again when seat belted inside the patrol car. No valid threats were found and he was arrested and charged with false report of explosive weapon of mass destruction, criminal mischief, and disorderly intoxication causing disturbance. He was turned over for medical evaluation before being transported to jail.
