Breaking: ICE Arrests 11 Iranian Nationals with Suspected Terrorist Ties

D.C. (Dist. of Criminals), June 24, 2025 — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have arrested 11 Iranian nationals across eight states, including Minnesota, Mississippi, Alabama, California, New York, Colorado, and Texas. The individuals, all living in the U.S. illegally, include former military personnel, individuals linked to terror groups, and repeat criminal offenders.

According to Homeland Security, those apprehended include a former Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) member, a convicted Iranian Army sniper, and an individual with Hezbollah ties. Notable arrests include:

Mehran Makari Saheli, 56, ex-IRGC member with Hezbollah links, convicted of a firearms offense, arrested in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Ribvar Karimi, former Iranian Army sniper, arrested in Locust, Alabama, after overstaying a fiancé visa.

Yousef Mehridehno, flagged on the terrorist watchlist in February, arrested near Jackson, Mississippi, after living illegally in the U.S. for nearly eight years.

Behzad Sepehrian Bahary Nejad, arrested in Houston with a loaded 9mm pistol, with a history of domestic assault and immigration violations.

Hamid Reza Bayat, arrested in Houston, previously convicted of drug crimes and ordered removed nearly 20 years ago.

Mehrzad Asadi Eidivand, arrested in Tempe, Arizona, convicted of threatening law enforcement and firearm possession.

Linet Vartaniann, U.S. citizen, arrested for threatening to kill ICE agents and harboring Eidivand.

Mahmoud Shafiei and Mehrdad Mehdipour, arrested in Colorado Springs; Shafiei has a long record of drug crimes and child abuse arrests.

Bahman Alizadeh Asfestani, arrested in San Francisco with prior drug trafficking convictions.

Mohammad Rafikian, arrested in Buffalo, convicted of grand larceny and fraud.

Arkavan Babk Moirokorli, arrested in San Diego, convicted of forging an official seal.
