Blocking normal Biology

Most of you have been hearing about vitamin K2.
Vitamin K2 has been associated with greater reductions of vascular calcification and cardiovascular disease, and for that matter, osteoporosis.
Now, this whole process also depends on Vitamin A and D, but that is for another day.
So, a normal pathway in our body is the mevalonate pathway. Through this pathway, we get, to name a few, CoQ10, cholesterol, and vitamin K2.
If we happen to block or inhibit the very start of the mevalonate pathway, we don't get cholesterol, CoQ10, and we dont get vitamin K2.
An inhibitor of this pathway is an HMGCoA reductase inhibitor, otherwise known as a statin.
So, if we block HMGCoA, we dont get vitamin k2. No k2 = less ability to get the calcium out of the arteries and placed back into bones and teeth. Calcium stays in the arteries. The result? Possibly increased cardiovascular disease, bad teeth, and osteoporosis. Oddly enough, these three disease symptoms occur together.
