Sketching Vatican City| Dip Pen & Watercolor Architecture Drawing | St. Peter’s Basilica

In this video, I sketch Vatican City using a dip pen, waterproof ink, and watercolor, focusing on the elegant architecture of St. Peter’s Basilica. This is part of my ongoing urban sketchbook practice, where I study buildings from life, reference, and imagination using ink and wash techniques.

Dip pen drawing allows for expressive lines and slower observation, and watercolor brings atmosphere to the scene without overwhelming the ink. If you enjoy architectural sketching, travel sketchbooks, or simply watching the sketching process unfold, I hope you find this relaxing and inspiring.
