9. The Clarity of Tawhīd and Perfection of Deen | Shaykh Ahmad Musa Jibril

Shaykh Ahmad Musa Jibril (حفظه الله) emphasizes that the core purpose of Kitāb At-Tawḥīd and Imām Al-Bukhāri’s method is to clarify misconceptions and affirm that Tawḥīd is clear, simple, and fully explained. He reminds us that Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى has perfected and completed this religion, as stated in (Surat Al-Mā'idah, verse 3): “This day I have perfected your religion for you…” Therefore, no aspect of faith—especially the belief in Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى—was left vague or hidden. It is impermissible to think that the Prophet ﷺ, who was sent to clarify the truth, would leave the foundation of our religion unclear. Tawḥīd, being the essence of Islam, was explicitly conveyed through divine revelation. These matters cannot be reached through intellectual reasoning or analogy (Qiyās); they are known only through Wahy (revelation). The Prophet ﷺ left the Ummah on a clear path, whose night is as bright as its day. The Shaykh quotes authentic Hadīth and statements of the Salaf, such as Abū Ad-Dardā’ رضي الله عنه, to affirm that the truth has been made evident. Thus, every Muslim must return to this clarity, and not fall into doubts, innovations, or speculative theology.
