Namibia is positioning itself as a potential green hydrogen superpower, leveraging its exceptional natural resources of intense solar radiation and consistent coastal winds. The country has launched Africa's first commercial green hydrogen production facility, the Daures Green Hydrogen Village, while approving the massive $10 billion Hyphen Hydrogen Energy project to produce 350,000 tons of green hydrogen annually by 2030. Rather than simply exporting raw resources, Namibia has developed a comprehensive strategy emphasizing domestic value addition and skills development.
