Message to the Mothers

June 15, 2025 service. Father's Day 2025. Message to the Mothers. 2 Timothy 1:5.
In Paul’s second letter to Timothy, he mentions the faithfulness of the women in Timothy;s life, his Grandmother and Mother. Paul attributes their devout and fervent faith as the source of Timothy’s faith.

2 Timothy 1:5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.

Matthew 22:37-39 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

2 Timothy 3:14-15 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

Lois and Eunice are examples of the powerful influence a mother or grandmother can have on a young man’s life.
Many personal testimonies include statements such as “My mom (or grandma) took me to church, taught me right, and prayed for me every day.”
These 2 women, Lois and Eunice, should encourage all Christian mothers and grandmothers.
To remind you that godly influence has an eternal impact on the lives and futures of your children and grandchildren.
