With You, we pray to be heard, to receive a response, to be taken care of, for things to change, and when You respond—and when change does happen—it is suddenly shocking, overwhelming. You are.

How can we prepare for the unexpected? How can we know what can’t be known? The Other is different beyond imagination—beyond concepts, ideas, knowledge, and thoughts—so all we can do is bear a moment: retreat, regroup, recharge, and try again to be with You—to be together with Your unlimited, unknowable grace.
