We pray

We pray for a response—for some change and some action so that things may be different, for a better outcome—and when You respond, it is somehow unexpected. It is shocking, surprising; it is not what it should be, so the mind thinks, it doesn’t fit expectations. The image of the expected outcome is not what actually happens.

And when You respond, Your light is too bright—burning with brightness; Your silence is too loud, and Your touch is too light. The unbearable lightness of being together, of being with You in Your presence. With You.
