Sentinel Circle Investigates: Alternative Societies

Alternative cultures exist on the margins of mainstream society, from punk collectives and DIY fashion to eco-villages and intentional communes. What once was known as counterculture during the 1960s has evolved into modern efforts to address loneliness, sustainability, and social disconnection. Instead of simply rejecting the status quo, people are now choosing to build communities including co-housing groups and ageing-care villages that foster collaboration, shared purpose, and emotional resilience.
