On Juneteenth, rapper and entrepreneur Rick Ross—whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II—was recognized in his birthplace of Clarksdale, Mississippi, with a street named in his honor. The newly named "Rick Ross Way" is located in front of the WingStop he owns at 300 Issaquena Avenue.

During the dedication ceremony, Mayor Chuck Espy praised Ross for his ongoing commitment to the community and his efforts to invest in the city's development. Ross spoke to the crowd with gratitude, saying:

“God is great. To be back in the city where my journey began—it’s humbling. This isn’t just about a street name. It’s about legacy.”
