How did 19-year-old Barron Trump amass a crypto fortune before finishing his first year at NYU? The youngest son of former President Donald Trump is reportedly sitting on as much as $40 million, thanks to his involvement in World Liberty Financial, a Trump family-backed cryptocurrency firm.

Barron, holding the title of "Web3 ambassador," is believed to be one of the primary beneficiaries of the firm’s $550 million token sales. With his 7.5% stake, he may have personally taken home around $25 million after taxes. Sources credit Barron with introducing his father to the concept of digital wallets, with Trump calling him the family's crypto expert.

Trump himself reportedly earned $57 million last year from crypto-related ventures, alongside other retail product sales like collectible books and gold-plated merchandise. Watchdogs are raising questions, however, over transparency and foreign investor involvement in the Trump-backed crypto token.

As the Trump family doubles down on Web3, Barron Trump’s surprising financial rise has stunned many — even within Silicon Valley.
