Elio Has the WORST Box Office Opening for ANY Pixar Movie

Disney and Pixar’s latest animated film Elio is set to open up with the worst box office in Pixar’s film history.

It seems as if Disney was not expecting much from this movie as indicated by a weak marketing campaign in the leadup to its release. Elio is reported to have cost Disney around $150 million, but that number is likely much lower considering the extensive delays and addition work that resulted in Disney essentially making the movie twice. Even then, a $20 million opening weekend on a $150 million budget is devastating news since Elio would need around $400 million globally to break even and it’s unlikely they will hit $300 million.
