Hello everyone. In today's Bible study we continue our journey in the book of Revelation chapter 2, reviewing the letter that the LORD gave to the Churches.

We are still studying the letter to the church at Ephesus which the Lord gave to them through the apostle John. The last time we were together we began to look at the commendations that the Lord gave to His children.

They were faithful to His word through sound doctrine which caused them to have great discernment when it came to the leaders of the church and identifying men who were called by God to be pastors.

Yet even at this early stage there were problems within the church that came up from amongst its members. There were wolves meaning false teachers, tares planted by the enemy to destroy the church from within.

This strategy of the enemy is very effective due to its subtle nature and its ability to engage the emotion of humans.

Who in their right mind would be oppose to a little child preaching and teaching the word of God?

Who in their right mind would be opposed to women being pastors and elders in the assembly?

Well, according to the scriptures, God is oppose to both those things. They are an abomination to Him. Go read Isaiah 3 and I Timothy then come back and tell me whether the Lord God approves of such things.

If not, then why do we allow it? We allow it because we want to be liked. We allow it because we do not know the ways of God, the scriptures, and do not hold fast to sound doctrine.

Then what are we to do?
1. Remember the word of God
2. Repent of our compromises
3. Die daily to our own passions and impulses by following the scriptures and sound doctrine.

Today's study is 1 hour and 30 minutes in duration. I have broken it into eight segments. This is segment 8 of 8 titled What does dying to live for Christ looks like in the scriptures? Part 2
