The story takes place in 2035, about 10 years after Black Ops II (2012) and roughly 40 years after Black Ops 6 (2024) The world is teetering on the brink of chaos, plagued by violent conflict and widespread psychological warfare.

You’ll step into the shoes of David “Section” Mason (portrayed by Milo Ventimiglia), the protagonist from Black Ops II, now leading a new covert team. Expect a gripping, psychologically intense narrative where enemies weaponize fear through advanced tech. Co-op support is back, allowing you to play the campaign solo or with a squad.

A single-player/co-op campaign backed by Treyarch and Raven Software. Multiplayer returns with near-future weapons and brand-new maps. The beloved round-based Zombies mode returns, continuing the Dark Aether storyline. Described as the “most mind‑bending” and psychologically charged Black Ops entry yet—expect surreal, Inception-style imagery and a haunting, suspenseful atmosphere.

Launching on PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Series X/S, and PC, with a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Expectation is late 2025, with a full reveal coming this summer. No exact date confirmed yet.
