Margie interviews Earl Mullins, Director of the show Me Space Museum. Earl Mullins completed his formal education in 1972 after achieving an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
His passion for spaceflight led him to open The Space Museum in 2003. It has expanded into the Grissom Center which boasts a collection of over $40 million in NASA and other space related artifacts and enjoys high credibility with NASA, other similar museums and the aerospace community. Expansion is in planning. Tripadvisor identified it as one of the top 10 science museums in Missouri for 2024.
Earl retired from SEMCO Plastic Company in 2022 after a 22-year career as an industrial engineer. He now devotes full time to the expansion and improvement of The Space Museum & Grissom Center. He lives by the museum moto, “Dream big, overcome obstacles, and do great things.” Many of those icons of space flight, he idealized as a youth, he now calls friends.
