"High Fly" (Frets Quartet First take)

At 6 foot 8 inches, jazz pianist Randy Weston kind of "looked down" at everybody. By 1958, he'd composed, "High Fly" to demonstrate it. At 5' 11", Jeff looks most folks "in the eye". Here, Jeff adds guitar to his keys comp version done in 2024.

Oh yeah, Jeff's "high flying" period on guitar goes back to the mid to late millennium teens when backed by the BIAB trio. At that time, he travelled extensively with Vanessa. Check out this same tune as performed in Astoria, Oregon's "Three Cups of Coffee". In fact, check out several tunes captured at the time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uloIZZAsnv4 (NOTE You can skip to "High Fly" some six minutes in.)
