DISASTER Incoming for James Gunn’s Superman | Marketing Push FAILS to Excite Fans

Box office projections for James Gunn’s new Superman movie are not looking good for DC and Warner Bros.

Superman was previously projected to make between $125-$145 million domestically during its opening weekend. While this sounds good, the film cost over $350 million to make before marketing. It total, it probably needs to gross over $1 billion globally to turn a profit and $145 million is not a huge start for that. Now we’re hearing that not only are the opening weekend projections being revised down to $90-$125 million, but some polling shows it performing worse than Captain America Brave New World, a film that only made about $413 million in theaters.
