Tatiana Pena is a former teacher, mother of five, and current school board member serving the Title I school district she grew up in. As the daughter of Central American immigrants and a proud product of South Phoenix, Tatiana brings firsthand insight into the challenges facing students today—especially in underserved communities.

Despite living in one of Arizona’s most progressive areas, Tatiana was elected as a conservative voice for parents and students. She shares her family's inspiring journey, the values her parents instilled in her, and how those roots fuel her fight for academic excellence and accountability.

With only 18% of Hispanic students proficient in reading in Arizona, Tatiana refuses to accept failure as the status quo.
