Reducing a Deadly Problem for Sea Animals

The devastating problem of plastic pollution in our oceans is well-known when it comes to land-based litter. But the most harmful form of marine litter, a lesser-known danger hidden at the bottom of the sea, is the 800,000 tons of lost and abandoned fishing gear, known as “ghost gear” left in our oceans every year.
