The West Nile Virus is back in Michigan. A bird in Saginaw County and a mosquito pool in Bay County both tested positive for the virus, marking the first confirmed cases of the mosquito-borne disease in Michigan this year. In 2024, 31 Michigan residents were diagnosed with West Nile virus.
