Understand

There’s nothing to understand; it unfolds at its own pace, and you don’t have to do anything. Trying to force it—to make it faster or deeper—is like trying to force a relationship.

Understanding—using the mind, the neocortex, logic, reason—is helpful to a point, and then put it aside, let it rest and switch to relating, just being.

The cat is just with you: it’s not trying to achieve anything; it’s just being with you. Being-with requires full embodiment—body and presence.

It’s like a relationship. You don’t run toward the horse—you’ll scare it. Just be with the horse, and then the horse will come to you when it’s ready.
