Did you know that we believers in Christ are a miniature garden of Eden, having Christ in our spirit as the tree of life and Satan in our flesh as the tree of knowledge of good and evil? Oh Lord! We have only two choices: God and Satan, life and death; we can either set our mind on our spirit to enjoy life and peace, or we can set our mind on the flesh to partake of death. Lord, strengthen us to choose to set our mind on the spirit today! Amen, Lord, we love our spirit!

Grant us to realise that our flesh is the body of this sin, very active and full of strength in sinning against God. May we see that the flesh is the body of this death, weak and powerless in acting to please God.
