Little Pee Dee river m#rder, catch up stream while we wait for Karen Read verdict

We’re live from Conway, South Carolina, as Meagan Jackson—Gregory Rice’s ex and the mother of his four kids—goes on trial for his m#rder.

Greg was reported missing by Jackson in October 2020. A little over a month later, his body was found wrapped in a tarp, zip-tied, and weighed down in the Little Pee Dee River. He’d been shot five times.

Jackson is accused of plotting the m#rder with her then-boyfriend, Christopher Dontell—a married deputy coroner she was having an affair with. They both worked in the death care industry. They both had access. And according to prosecutors, they both had motive.

Dontell has already flipped—he pleaded guilty to conspiracy and accessory, and he’s expected to testify against Jackson in exchange for a lighter sentence. Surveillance footage, cell data, and his own admissions are all in play.

Jackson says she’s innocent. The state says otherwise. You decide.
