From the 1950s through the 2000s, my mom watched As the World Turns and The Guiding Light. When I was a teenager, I became addicted to the Guiding Light. Here is an Episode from March 5, 1979 from the old VCR VHS Tape. Featuring Roger Thorpe and Alan Spaulding.
Roger has just raped Holly. Holly escapes and heads to Cedars Emergency Room. She calls Bert to look after Chrissy. Mike and Elizabeth make headway in the custody case for Phillip, but Alan and Jackie are holding steady in their resolve. Katie has a talk with Hillary about Hillary being blue. Hillary has a flashback to an argument she had with Roger about finding his gun in his desk at Spaulding Enterprises. Amanda impresses her piano teacher, and invites Ben to her upcoming recital.
