Fatal Confrontation During Orange County Drug House Raid

On May 16, 2025, at around 2:20 p.m., the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) SWAT team conducted a raid at a suspected drug house in Orange County, Florida, as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. The operation resulted in a deputy-involved shooting that left 32-year-old Tyrone Devon Henderson Bartley dead.

Sheriff John Mina reported that deputies were executing a search warrant when they encountered Bartley, who reached for a rifle behind a door. A deputy fired his service weapon, striking Bartley, who was pronounced dead despite deputies rendering aid until paramedics arrived.
