(Alastair Crooke provides excellent insights into the Israeli attack on Iran. Because of his many years of working with issues of the Middle East, he has a clear understanding of the players. Trump has not been honest about seeking peace with Iran. In fact, he has been very deceptive, while at the same time working with Israel & others for Israel to bomb Iran.

This was at least a year in preparation and Trump was involved as well as the CIA & MI6. They expected that the surprised attack that included killing so many senior leaders would cause the Iranian government to collapse. This didn't happen. Iran restored their defenses and replaced senior military leaders in less than a day.

Contrary to what Israel & the US expected, Iran is now focused on demilitarizing Israel. The perception of Israel being invincible has been broken. The Israeli missile defense is not effective against large number of conventional missiles and can't defend against Iran's advanced hypersonic missiles that know how to evade Israel's defenses.

Iran has been able to precisely hit military facilities in Israel. The population is now getting a taste of what Israel have been doing to so many others and they are upset and concerned about where this is heading.

Trump's deception has done serous damage to American credibility. He can't be trusted. Russia & China realize that what Trump & Netanyahu intended for Iran is what would be next for Russia & China. It is therefore important that Iran not fall. China has already sent a cargo plane full of supplies to Iran and I've seen elsewhere that they have sent two more. A lot of support is heading to Iran.
