Paint by Numbers by Al Stewart ~ Get Out of your Left Brain & Cast Thy Net to the Right

Another Master Parable by Al Stewart from his Brilliant 1980 Album, 24 Carrots...

Paint by Numbers teaches us the Difference between the MANY who Operate out of their Left Brains (Facts, Figures and Logic) versus those Few who Approach Life through the Right Hemisphere of their Brains (Lore, Legend and Magic)...and all of this really plays upon the Passages in the Bible from the Book of Matthew, Chapter 7, Verses 13 and 14...

'Enter ye in at the Strait Gate: for Wide is the Gate, and Broad is the way, that leadeth to Destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Because Strait is the Gate, and Narrow is the Way, which leadeth unto Life, and few there be that find it...'

The Broad and Spacious Way of the Left Brain is what we have been Taught in this Sinister, Upside Down World, and it has turned Human Beings from Warm, Loving, Caring and Creative Beings in Close Connection with God, into COLD, Frightened, Selfish and Uncreative Zombies, who Blindly Follow Orders, and Paint by Numbers, just to be able to See what somebody else has already Drawn for them...

The Lost and Lonely People, the Masses, Chase Facts, Figures and Logic because they are told you, and which always Lead ALL OF THEM to the exact same Outcomes and therefore, the exact same Beliefs; and thus, are CONTROLLED by the Few, so that they can Rule the Many thru endless Lies that they espouse as Truth...

However, the Few, who Cast Their Nets to the Right of their Vessels live within the Realm of Lore, Legend and Magic, where All that comes to them is provided by God and is Blessed, for thru the process of Creation and being Creative comes the Divine Connection to God who is The Creator of All Things; thus, thru His Vibration we Create without Limitations or preconceived notions, where ALL is possible in any Moment...

And this is the Essence to the Song and thus, the Parable, and why the Narrator and his Girlfriend are unable to Connect with One Another, and are virtually all disconnected from one another, as they each exist on the Opposite side of their Brains...She cannot See, for she Paints by Numbers via the Left Hemisphere of her Brain, Following along Strict Rules and Guidelines laid out by Authority, while he is Free because he Chooses to Cast his Net to the Right, in Life, Co-Creating with God via the Right Hemisphere...

Thus, they are Divided, Sundered by the Choices they make and the Consequences that comes with making these Choices...and this is why, when she is still looking around for Direction and Guidance in Life from Authority, she won't see him no more, as She Paints by Numbers, which is merely a Parable for choosing to Live Life by Following the Broad and Spacious Way that Organized Society Lays out for each of us, which surely leads unto Destruction...as he is Long Gone to the Right, via the Strait Gate that is Narrow and leadeth unto Life, for the Right Hemisphere of the Brain is the Precise Location of the Kingdom of God, that Christ taught to us lays WITHIN US, and is found by Casting thy Net to the Right Side of your Vessel, which is found within your Mind and the Choices that you make, or don't make, within every single moment...
