Walter Isaacson: “90% of the EV Revolution Is Elon Musk”

Here's Walter Isaacson explaining why it's absurd to think it wasn't Elon Musk who founded Tesla.

“They say it wasn't Musk who did Tesla, it was Martin Eberhard or Marc Tarpenning. No, no, no. They were people who had helped create the shells of companies and other things, and they all deserved to be called co-founders.

But the guy who actually gets us to a million electric vehicles a year is Elon Musk. And without him, I don't think we [would have entered the era of electric cars]. If anybody, five years from now, buys a car that's gasoline-powered and think that's quaint, that's odd, 90% of that is Elon Musk.”
