Netanyahu recreates pre-Iraq War deception_ repeats false Iran claims_ Marwan Bishara

Al Jazeera’s Marwan Bishara, speaking from Paris, criticised Israeli PM Netanyahu’s remarks on Iran, calling them deceptive and reminiscent of US rhetoric before the 2003 Iraq War. He accused Netanyahu of spreading lies about Iran’s nuclear threat and slammed his hypocrisy in labelling Iranian leaders “theological thugs”. Bishara warned that Israel, itself a nuclear power and under ICC scrutiny, cannot justify pushing for regime change. He said Trump is hedging his position, unsure whether to back Netanyahu fully. Bishara cautioned that forced regime change would be catastrophic, risking civil war and long-term chaos.
