Dangerous Animals – Killer Premise, Average Movie

Dangerous Animals is a passable yet forgettable shark-horror flick that tries to blend psychological menace with creature-feature gore, but ends up swimming in mediocrity. Despite a decent performance from Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) and an interesting antagonist concept, the film is dragged down by bland direction, inconsistent tone, and a script filled with plot conveniences and underdeveloped characters. The movie flirts with originality through its villain’s shark-worshipping ritualism, but ultimately never delivers on its promise, leaving viewers with an average survival horror experience best reserved for late-night streaming.
