Minnesota assassin suspect—Vance Luther Boelter—ARRESTED after intense manhunt ends.

It's finally over.

Vance Luther Boelter, the man accused of carrying out a deadly political shooting in Minnesota, has been captured following a massive statewide manhunt.

Boelter, 57, was reportedly found and taken into custody Sunday night in a field in Sibley County, Minnesota.

Details are fluid at this time, but law enforcement reportedly found an automobile and Boelter’s cowboy hat. As a result, police combed through the immediate area before apprehending the suspect.

He had been on the run after allegedly opening fire on state lawmakers, killing former Democratic House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, and critically wounding Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette.

Police say Boelter was dressed as a police officer, wearing a vest and a Halloween-style mask when he launched the attack in a northern Minnesota suburb.

Boelter had previously been appointed to Governor Tim Walz’s Workforce Development Board in 2019—raising serious questions about how someone with government ties could turn into a suspected political assassin.
