Disney has a history of Americana films, including Davy Crockett, Old Yeller, The Apple Dumpling Gang, as well as a myriad of animated tall tale characters. In 1995, they brought the American legends to life on the big screen with Patrick Swayze, Oliver Platt, and Roger Aaron Brown. With a $32 million budget, but projected earnings of $11 million, it was a big flop. We see if we can get to the bottom of Anything Nice to Say about Tall Tale.
