The US and Israel reportedly modified lsraeli F-35l warplanes to extend range without refuelling or compromising stealth, aiding Tel Aviv's June 13 strike on Tehran. Middle East Eye quoted US officials confirming the jets were altered with internal fuel upgrades and
possibly drop tanks. Aerospace experts called the modification "surgical". Meanwhile, Iran warned of targeting US bases, and launched drones at American sites in Irag and near Erbil.
