R. Kelly Seeking Pardon From President Donald Trump For Racketeering, S*x Trafficking Convictions

R. Kelly, currently serving a 30-year federal sentence for racketeering and sex trafficking, is seeking a presidential pardon or commuted sentence from former President Donald Trump. His legal team recently filed an emergency motion claiming that officials from the Bureau of Prisons allegedly plotted to have him killed. According to the filing, a terminally ill Aryan Brotherhood inmate, Mikeal Glenn Stine, was reportedly offered early release in exchange for assassinating Kelly but instead warned him.
Following these allegations, Kelly was placed in solitary confinement and denied basic privileges such as communication and commissary access. His attorney argues that only Donald Trump has the boldness to step in and help, pointing to Trump’s past actions commuting sentences for controversial figures like Larry Hoover.
Kelly’s team claims this is part of a larger pattern of abuse and misconduct by government and prison officials and insists that Kelly’s life is in immediate danger. Both his legal team and Trump’s representatives have not commented publicly on the pardon request.
