• Rep. Melissa Hortman (former House Speaker) and her husband Mark were killed at their home in Brooklyn Park.
• Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette were shot at their Champlin residence; both are recovering after surgery

The assailant dressed as a police officer, driving a fake squad-style SUV, was impersonating law enforcement and is still yet to be found.

🔍 The manifesto – what’s odd about it

• Police found a manifesto inside the suspect's vehicle with nearly 70 names—including lawmakers, abortion providers, and political advocates
• Flyers linked to the “No Kings” anti-authoritarian movement were also present
• Security alerts have been sent to others on the list. Researchers note that manifesto-style documents have been discovered in multiple recent extremist plots, making this one yet another suspicious addition in a troubling pattern. Coincidence?

🤔 Both lawmakers had recently voted to repeal free health care for undocumented immigrants—a controversial decision that passed by just a few votes.
