Don’t depend on underpowered cartridges, i.e. 9-round 10mm mag auto hand gun, that doesn’t have the bullet weight, energy or power needed.
Has this been used effectively. Yes. Is it the BEST for the application? NO!
Pat attention! In grizzly bear country it could mean the difference between your life or the life of whomever you are with. You should want and have the best tools available for possible defense of a large and angry bear to defend life.
Best options: Double action revolver in 44 mag, 45 long Colt, .480 Ruger, .475 or .500 Linebaugh are tops.
