Every June 14, we celebrate Flag Day—a moment to honor the Stars and Stripes. But what if we told you the flag has made history in massive ways?

At HINESight Entertainment, we're counting down five mind-blowing American flag records that prove patriotism can go big.

#5 – The Ford F-450 Flag Haul
Start your engines. In 2016, a Ford F-450 Super Duty pulled a 4,124 sq. ft. American flag around Homestead-Miami Speedway. That's nearly the size of a basketball court flying behind a truck at full speed. Flag meets horsepower.

#4 – The PNC American Flag Balloon
At 53 feet tall and 530 pounds, this hot air balloon shaped like the American flag is the most enormous free-flying flag in the world. First launched after 9/11, it now flies at patriotic festivals—reminding us of resilience in the skies.

#3 – The Mega Brick Flag in Omaha, NE
Built with over 700,000 Mega Construx bricks and measuring 60 x 30 feet, this giant flag was assembled by more than 240 volunteers—a heartfelt display of unity—proving that even plastic bricks can build pride.

#2 – Wyland's 3.8-acre Flag Mural
Painted on the roof of Legendary Marina in Destin, Florida, this 555' x 229' mural is the world's largest painted American flag. It honors military heroes and first responders, standing as a bold tribute visible from the sky.

#1 – The Superflag Over Hoover Dam
The grandest of them all. Measuring 255 x 505 feet and weighing 3,000 lbs, the Superflag is the most significant American flag ever flown. Draped over Hoover Dam during the 1996 Olympic Torch Relay, it took 200+ people to move it. Stars the size of trucks? Yes, really.
